Through the pandemic, tourism and entertainment have been the most hit. As the world economy begins to open up again, the entertainment industry worldwide has been struggling to find its feet and stay afloat economically. So as an entertainment business festival, it is inevitable to ask the question “What next?” business wise. We hope to bring together some very needed resources to aid the entertainment industry getting back on its feet economically.

Italian producer Emanuele Moretti (Bite) recently launched LA and Rome-based
production and sales firm Motus Studios.
Out of the gate, Moretti has set up a strategic partnership with Ellen S. Wander’s Film
Bridge International to produce and sell movies together. On Motus’s sales slate will be
Trevor Donovan movie Hot Water and Engelbert Grech’s Caravaggio Heist.
Motus will co-produce and help finance Peter Greenaway’s upcoming movie Lucca
Mortis with Morgan Freeman and producer Kees Kasander, the new Johnny Martin
action movie written by Chad Law, Ring Of Fire, and Deep Six by Scott Windhauser.
Moretti, who was previously head of acquisitions at Phoenix Entertainment and CEO of Alberini Films, has produced genre movies including Bite and Deprivation, and served as an executive producer on Lindsay Lohan pic Among The Shadows. He is also a producer on Peter Greenaway’s feature "Walking To Paris", about the early life of acclaimed 20th Century sculptor Constantin Brancusi.

Mo Abudu launched EbonyLife TV, Africa’s first global black entertainment and lifestyle network, in
2013. Her primary goal for the channel was to create a more positive narrative around Africa. What
followed was a string of aspirational TV series to include Castle & Castle, Sons of the Caliphate and
The Governor amongst many others.
In her quest to change global perceptions about Africa, Abudu took the plunge into filmmaking with
the creation of EbonyLife Films in 2014. Producing several blockbusters to include: Fifty, The
Wedding Party, Chief Daddy, The Royal Hibiscus Hotel and in 2018, she executive produced Òlòtūré,
a feature film that exposes the shady business of human trafficking in Nigeria. This film premiered on
Netflix as a Netflix Original in October 2020

Christian Epps is a lighting designer who has spanned more than three decades in major motion pictures, broadcast television, commercials, live theater, dance, music videos and special events. Directors include Ava DuVernay, and Spike Lee. Talent includes 1st Lady Michelle Obama, Pres. Bill Clinton, Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston, Nick Cannon, and Kevin Hart. As a gaffer for the critically acclaimed and award winning film, "Selma", featuring Oprah Winfrey ad projects for HBO and The Olympics. In 2006 he began designing concerts and television in Nigeria and countries in Africa. Christian recently lit NETFLIX’s first Original African production, QUEEN SONO’ in Johannessburg and Netflix’s first production in Nigeria (unnamed). Recent projects include commercials for Nike featuring Lebron James, in Cadillac featuring Spike Lee, Lovecraft Country (HBO), and ‘Sylvie's Love’ featuring Tessa Thompson (Amazon).
In 2014 he and others, founded Lights, Camera, Diaspora!, a Hollywood-based social enterprise nonprofit that bridges the gap between the African and African-Diaspora entertainment production industries. Since 2015, LCD! has conducted over 25 technical workshops and masterclasses in 8 countries in Africa. 2017 he received Africa Diaspora Awards’ Creative Person Of The Year Award. MULTICHOICE, the largest broadcaster in Africa, has partnered with LCD! to do masterclasses in South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and Zambia. LCD! Recently donated lighting equipment to the Zambian film community facilitated by the Los Angeles-Lusaka Sister City, placed a Nigerian cinematographer on an HBO show shooting in Hollywood as a training, placed 10 trainees in various departments on a U.S. based music project shooting in South Africa, and two trainees on Netflix’s first project in Nigeria.

She is an Award-Winning independent film distributor and film sales agent, who possesses over 15
years’ experience in the film industry across Africa.
Joy holds a degree in Business Studies, a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and membership of the
National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria.
She began her career as a sales executive at NuMetro media store, rising through the ranks to reach the
prominent position of Head of Operations for NuMetro Film Distribution in only six years.

Joel Haikali is an award-winning Namibian filmmaker, scholar, creative entrepreneur
and the founder of Joe Vision Production. His work has been selected for film
festivals around the world including FESPACO, CANNES, BERLINALE, PAFF,
DIFF and many more. Joel is the co-founder of the Creative Industry Guide (CIG)
which is being launched in different countries in Africa and the diaspora.
Joel holds a master’s degree in Film Development. He is currently the Chairperson of
the Namibia Film Commission Board

Adekunle 'Nodash' Adejuyigbe, popularly called Nodash in the movie industry is a Nigerian Film Maker. Adekunle 'Nodash' Adejuyigbe was born and raised in Nigeria. The Director, Cinematographer, Film editor & Screenwriter is one of the new crops of Nigerian Film makers who are producing Nigerian Films with globally accepted production value. He currently runs his own film production company called Something Unusual Studios.
His professional experience includes editing for TV, directing and shooting documentaries, commercials, TV programmes, music videos, and movies. He has worked as a Creative Director for Television Entertainment Network, as Head of production for Virtual Media Network , as a TV Director/Editor for Nigezie and a Transmission Engineer for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

She founded the Nigerian arts, education and cultural organisation, Terra Kulture in 2003.
With the creation of Bolanle Austen-Peters Productions, in 2013, she raised the bar in the theater industry with the production of SARO the Musical, which received a number of accolades and reviews from international media houses including the BBC and Sky news and has since produced five additional commissioned plays. Responding to reviews from the press and theatre experts, in December 2014 and April 2015 BAP productions produced ‘SARO THE MUSICAL’ 2 at the MUSON Center with even better music, drama and dance. Due to sold out shows and increasing demand locally and internationally, Bolanle Austen-Peters further stimulated interest in Nigerian theatrical production with premiere of Broadway style musical production titled ‘Wakaa The Musical’ from December 30th 2015 to January 3rd 2016 at the MUSON Center, Onikan, Lagos.

For more than 18 years Len Gibson has been a writer, producer, executive and collegiate educator in the film and television industry. Gibson started out as an intern for Spike Lee’s 40 Acres & A Mule and since then worked for networks and
studios such as MTV, A&E, HBO and more. Gibson started out as a writer & production manager but transitioned to a
producer in 2008 and has been able to bring financing and distribution to numerous film and television projects. Gibson is also a nationally acclaimed and highly sought after speaker and instructor for independent filmmakers. Gibson has utilized

Moses Babatope has over 18 years’ experience in film exhibition, production, distribution, marketing
and operations management. As Managing Director of FilmOne Entertainment, Moses has been the
mastermind behind the global distribution of blockbuster films such as The Wedding Party & The
Wedding Party 2, A Trip to Jamaica, King of Boyz, Okafor’s Law, to mention a few. He has also
spearheaded international distribution partnerships with companies such as 20th Century Fox, Warner

Damian Umeasala is a product manager for risk asset and government intervention schemes at Stanbic IBTC Bank. He has extensive experience in Oil & gas, renewable energy, microfinance & creative sector financing, with specialization on risk asset portfolio management, credit impairments monitoring, Upstream / midstream contract finance, procurements and government intervention credit schemes.
Prior to joining the bank, He has worked in various segments of the Oil & gas sector ranging from Upstream drilling / mud projects to midstream tank farm operations and Oilfields equipment procurement.

Sarah Inya Lawal is a producer, talent manager and business development Manager working across theatre, film, TV and brand management for artists.

Nde Ndifonka (born 9 May 1985), popularly known by his stage name Wax Dey, is a Cameroonian singer, songwriter, entrepreneur and social activist. He won Best Male Artist in Central Africa at the 2016 All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA). He owns a record label called Calabash Music. In December 2015, he released the Yemi Alade-assisted "Saka Makossa" (Dance Makossa) and pays tribute to the Makossamusic genre.
